Mountain bikes or Hybrid bikes are recommended. Don’t forget a lock for your bike. There is a free bicycle valet service that is on the right side prior to Bridge Street (tips appreciated).

Meet us at 10:30AM at Washington’s Crossing State Park for setups, we depart at 11:00 with or without you. The parking lot area is located off of Rt. 29 and Washington Crossing-Pennington Road. Traveling on Rt. 29 North from Trenton when you reach that intersection turn left and a quick right into the parking lot. Park at the end near the restrooms.

We will be riding along the Delaware Canal path up to the “Shad Fest” in Lambertville, NJ, having lunch and drinks at The Lambertville House Hotel, and browsing through the festival while listening to live music. The ride to Lambertville and back is 14 miles. Those wanting to ride more keep on going onto Stockton or beyond, and back. There is no charge for this event!!

About the Day: Nice, leisurely riding – This is not a race. This ride is for everyone. You can eat lunch at Lambertville House Hotel or at any of the food stands in the food court. Everyone is free to walk through the festival on your own and at your own pace. If you like you can also walk over the bridge, and you will be on the main drag in New Hope. The festival runs from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Return to your car on your own, enjoy the day and leave whenever you desire.

Last year we had some people not ride and that was fantastic. For those not biking, a group traditionally meet at 12:00PM at The Lambertville House Hotel, 32 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ, PH (888) 867-8859. Come and stroll around the festival. Look for us everywhere. There is public parking available near the fest.

Rain Date, Sunday, April 21. Same time, same place!
