Fall Line Ski Club is a club that was started in 1966 and now has over 400 members and growing. Skiing experience of Fall Liners ranges from none to advanced. Fall Line is one of (if not the biggest) ski club in the tri-state Delaware Valley. Fall Line is 65% single and is equally divided between male and female.

Ski trips include destinations to New England, western US, Canada and Europe. If you don't know how to ski yet, some trips include lessons but lessons are always available on your own. If you don't wish to ski you can still enjoy the non-ski events.

During the winter we concentrate on skiing and in the off months we turn to everything else which includes whitewater rafting, biking, hiking, golfing, parties, etc.

General meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of each month. As of 2/3/09 we will begin meeting at PJ Whelihan's on Route 70 in Cherry Hill. The meetings start at 8:00 PM and end around 10:30 PM. The meetings are open to everyone to obtain information on upcoming events or to just socialize. There is a cash bar for your drinking pleasure. The restaurant is available for dinner before, during or after the meeting and many Fall Liners socialize in the bar after the meeting. If you are not able to attend meetings the newsletter will keep you informed about club events. The Holiday Party replaces the meeting just before Christmas (see Special Events below).

Map and Directions for Meeting Location

Fall Line Ski Club holds three special events each year. They are the Spring Fling, Snoball and the Holiday Party.

The Spring Fling is a formal dinner-dance which closes the ski season and fiscal year for the club. Awards are given out and the outgoing and incoming board are acknowledged. The cost is about $45 for members and $50 for non-members. Beer, wine and soda are included.

The Snoball is held after Labor Day in September. It is the welcoming of the coming ski season where many major resorts set up booths to advertise their slopes. It is held at the Fireman's Hall in Moorestown from 7 PM until midnight. Many prizes are given away which include several fully paid ski trips (week trips and weekend trips). Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 in advance ($15 at the door). There is a DJ and cash bar. Dress is casual with some people going formally. Some Snoball prizes for 2007 were:

  • Mystery Ski Trip to Keystone, Colorado
  • Killington, VT
  • Ski package from Danzeizen & Quigley
  • Val Di Fassa, Italy

The Holiday Party replaces the general meeting just before Christmas and is usually held at a different location from the regular meetings. DJ and bar are available. The cost is usually around $25-$30.

Membership in the club is required for all events with limited availability and you must be at least 21 years old to join. Events with unlimited availability are open to everyone. These usually include summer events such as hiking, biking or softball. All are welcome at these events as well as at the GENERAL MEETINGS to see what Fall Line Ski Club is all about.

Membership in the club is a yearly membership which starts May 1st and ends April 30th. The cost of membership is $25 prior to our Snoball event which occurs the first Friday after Labor Day in September. After Snoball, membership is $30. Fill out a Membership Application and submit payment to join. If you have any questions either E-mail, Phone (215) 969-4736 or stop at the membership table at any meeting.

Board meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month and start at 7:30 p.m.  In order for the board to discuss all agenda topics in a timely fashion, members who wish to attend a board meeting must contact the Fall Line President prior to the meeting.
